This post is long overdue, as I pushed the 0.6 update over a week ago. I’ve just been extremely busy and I’ve been very sick.

So… let’s get in to it, shall we?

What’s new in 0.6? Glad you asked!

• BADGES!!Users can now collect badges based on things they do, how their collection is shaping up, how their wishlist looks, etc. You can get badges for all sorts of things. I plan on adding a few badges a week, as well as some specialty one-off badges for things like adding movies on the dates they were released. As of right now, only two badges exist. You get one for joining during the beta period and another one for having over $1000 of movies in your collection. I plan on expanding on the badges concept more over the next few weeks.
• Easier Signup & LoginI changes the signup and login system to ask for email and password. What’s cool is that if you don’t have an account, an account is automatically made for you. Pretty snazzy.
• New Collection LayoutYou may have noticed that on the collection pages, it shows the newest additions at the top of the list. This was a requested feature and there it is.

In addition to the major features, there were a ton of rewrites and internal bug fixes. I’ve almost got everything worked out and am ready to start working on things for the 0.7 update. The 0.7 update will focus on users being able to interact with eachother as well as expand the information on the movie pages and go a little more in depth with badges.
